Milk, or any liquid, is THE MOST DANGEROUS nemesis to all IT products ( laptop, phones, tv, etc)
so why not give someone a heart attack with a fake milk splatter on their laptop?

you'll need:
- a piece of glass, or any smooth surface
- white glue, aka elmer's
- soap, or any lubricant (cooking spray, WD40, etc)
- knife

Step 1: Prep your surface

Your surface can be any smooth surface, I just had a piece of glass around.

Now take a your choice of lubricant (bar soap for me), and cover the piece of glass.
This makes the removal easier later.

I also took a piece of brown paper to spread it around more. totally optional.

This does not really work.

Do you think it would maybe be easier, instead of putting the glue on a piece of glass to later scrape up, to maybe put it on a smoothe flat piece of saran wrap? I'm not sure if that would work though, just a thought, lol. I only say this because I can definitely see myself ripping/screwing up the removal process lol!
Really great instructable, thanks so much for sharing! Wish I had read this before April Fools' =P

would it be better if you had a cup of milk and if the victim is gone drink the rest of it and pretend you spilled it

Good one! My sister and I used to do this same thing when we were young, only we half-mixed in a little brown paint and it looked just like some sort of ice cream. Also it is fun to make it look like water it is leaking from the bottom of the freezer, especially if there is a lot of expensive meat in the freezer. You can almost watch the billpayer of the house totalling up expenses in his brain.
Celine1107 says: Apr 9, 2011. 10:47 AM
Hey I'm not sure if this would work, but mabey you could replace the glass with parchment paper....mabey it would be easier to peel off.....
Btw Nice prank!

I can see the victim's face. I looks just like mine when my son spilled his real glass of milk on my laptop keyboard. It killed the machine almost instantly. :(

I like this! I used to have a couple store-bought ones along the same lines. One was a tipped over nail polish bottle with bright red shiny mess attached, and the other was a melted ice cream bar, with popsicle stick sticking out.

As others have mentioned, this would be more convincing with an little empty milk carton stuck to it. My recommendation: Before the glue dries, drop the carton into the glue, so it all dries as one piece.

Good prank!

Nice one!

I think the principles are all there in your I'ble, and everyone will have their own take on refining the color, transparency etc.

Thanks

Ingenious mate! I'm sure to try this some time!
michaelgohjs says: Apr 1, 2011. 7:03 PM
not to be critical but i think you meant "peel"
"that way it is easier to PILL it off after it dries. "

Nice instructable by the way

fixed*

thanks!
cupcake43 says: Apr 5, 2011. 4:55 PM
Not fixed it says peal not peel
Whiternoise says: Apr 5, 2011. 4:09 PM
You could lay cling film over the object in question and then lay out your goo as a makeshift mould. Then when it's dry, you remove the cling film and it looks like your mess has sunk down inbetween the keys. Top it off by leaving the glue bottle on its side next to the victim.

got my vote, simplicity is best. Even if its not super accurate, visually it would freak someone out. Sure they would realize its fake quick enough, bit that initial gasp is what your going for.
blackrock112 says: Apr 3, 2011. 9:45 PM
Quess the clearness depends if the glue is waterproof or not, non proof is more white after dring.
Schooniedude says: Apr 3, 2011. 6:03 AM
mine turned clear
mekoolu (author) says: Apr 3, 2011. 7:04 AM
nice! i was actually going for a clear splatter (a more general liquid spill), but turned out milky so now its a milk splatter.
It just depends on your white glue.
Schooniedude says: Apr 3, 2011. 7:53 AM
oh ok
piper1234 says: Apr 2, 2011. 10:24 PM

Hephestus says: Apr 2, 2011. 3:25 AM
