Portable Nintendo 64

In this tutorial you will learn how to make a Nintendo 64 Portable , this was not made by me , it is made by borjaus on http://www.inventosunicos.com .

Step 1: What We'll Need

-LCD screen
-An Original N64
-N64 Controller
-Some tools to connect the n64 to the LCD screen
-A Case to put all these into ( or the original N64 Case glued together using modeling clay)
-A small speaker ( EDIT: It was an N64 Ram Upgrade about 512 MB , get it from amazon.com)
-Cartridges (Obviously)

What did you use for your speakers?Also, what is the plastic used on the bottom that goes in front of the speakers/where the nintendo icon is?

The expansion pack was only 8MB up from 4MB. 512MB of RDRAM back then would have cost far more than the N64 did to begin with and would have been larger than the pack its self.

Just letting people know in case they ever look around for one and drive themselves crazy trying to find 512.

no sorry , any near carpenter can do it for you , just use modeling clay and build one from scratch.

That monitor can't be 3.5in, the middle left shot on step 1 is nearly top down and that screen is at least 2/3rds the width of the actual system which is 10.23in which would make the monitor apx 7in wide and the height about 4in making it apx 7in diagonally. Further, you can see that the screen is larger than the motherboard and according to http://kyorune.com/modding/article.php?id=88 the motherboard is 6.25in wide. So I would say just by eyeing it, going with a 7in monitor with a 16x9 aspect ratio would better serve the project. You can pick them up for a decent price at new egg.

this looks like your build. Can you offer some guidance on building out the case. Was the entire thing made from the n64 case? If so, how did you build the slot for the games? If not did you purchase any additional material for the case?

actually, its not "my build" , I mentioned I copied it from another website.
but what is used there is a broken (on purpose) N64 Case , and then put together by special rubber that drys.

The Case is the N64 ORiginal Case , broken into pieces and glued together using modeling clay, I mentioned that in the step 4.

I like designs like this one where the game pack is hidden from sight, so this helps me alot. Whereas other peoples' designs have it stick out.
