Step 6: Piece Together and Power On!!!

Trim up the connections and make sure your not forgetting anything.  I suggest testing the circuit prior to putting it together to make sure it works properly.  Once you've tested it, connect the power terminals, screw the PCB board to the standoffs, install the speaker, switch, and jack, then screw down the acrylic sheet into the project box.  Once its put together hook up whatever audio source you have and turn it on and enjoy!!!

386's are half watt amplifiers. but they still put out a lot of juice, even tho it sounds small.

very nice. i like the cool blue look. my question is how loud does it get. I am a newbie. I hooked up an 8ohm speaker to audio jack and then plugged it in to my laptop. it wasn't very loud. so i started searching here.

oh yeah, this works great. a lot better than i expected. I use this all the time with my ipod and palm pre whenever i listen to music or podcasts.
