can you now run these on battery or ac?
JamesRPatrick (author) says: Apr 12, 2011. 8:28 PM
Yep. The battery just needs to be removed before the speakers are plugged in.

One improvement might be to splice the 9v battery clip to the wire from the wall wart (cut the wall wart off and use the end that connects to the speakers). That way, you never have to open the casing at all.

yea i was thinkin abot doing that
wawee says: Mar 12, 2011. 4:30 PM
would these be strong enough to hear through a running 4 wheeler?
JamesRPatrick (author) says: Mar 12, 2011. 5:31 PM
Possibly. It all depends on the speakers that you use and how loud the ATV is. You can test it out by bringing the speakers outside with an extension cord and playing a song with the engine running.

Ahhh pooop. I wasted my speakers D:
Tried to put it together my way, failed and broke them.
I'm going to see if I can get some more to do this :D (mount them in my bookbag)
zvillesurfer says: Mar 16, 2010. 5:33 PM
what did you break? you can probably still salvage the amp or speakers.
cowscankill says: Mar 17, 2010. 1:12 PM
D: Not anymore
Pretty sure I threw them away...
I broke the amp.
Punkguyta says: Mar 5, 2010. 12:48 PM
Seriously? This is nearly common sense.
RadBear says: Mar 5, 2010. 1:57 PM
Nearly being the operative word. For those with a limited background in electronics this could be a really helpful Ible. And while the concept is simple it is well documented and written. I probably wouldv'e compressed some of the mount construction steps, but that is author's perogative.

The only thing I find disturbing is going to all this effort to listen to ABBA. :)

For realsies.

Your speakers look just like some speakers I have, but mine don't have an amp.
