can you now run these on battery or ac?

One improvement might be to splice the 9v battery clip to the wire from the wall wart (cut the wall wart off and use the end that connects to the speakers). That way, you never have to open the casing at all.

Ahhh pooop. I wasted my speakers D:
Tried to put it together my way, failed and broke them.
I'm going to see if I can get some more to do this :D (mount them in my bookbag)
Mar 16, 2010. 5:33 PMzvillesurfer says:
what did you break? you can probably still salvage the amp or speakers.
Mar 17, 2010. 1:12 PMcowscankill says:
D: Not anymore
Pretty sure I threw them away...
I broke the amp.

Seriously? This is nearly common sense.

Nearly being the operative word. For those with a limited background in electronics this could be a really helpful Ible. And while the concept is simple it is well documented and written. I probably wouldv'e compressed some of the mount construction steps, but that is author's perogative.

The only thing I find disturbing is going to all this effort to listen to ABBA. :)

Your speakers look just like some speakers I have, but mine don't have an amp.
