So my girlfriend and I are big fans of Portal and Portal 2.  One day we were talking about a talking turret plushie we saw (found at http://upnotnorth.net/projects/portal-turret-plushie/) and she mentioned that she wanted a talking plushie of the space core.  With Christmas around the corner I went looking for someplace selling plushie space cores, but I’m very picky and the only one I found didn’t look enough like the space core for me.  So, using my limited sewing, electronics, and coding abilities and the turret plushie as a launching point, I made my own.  Once it was done one of my friends suggested I put it up here to share.

MATERIALS: (note, I didn't need to use up all the fabric listed here, these are just the amounts I bought/had for use)
5/8 yards light gray fleece
1/2 yard dark gray fleece
1/2 yard black fleece
1/2 yard charcoal fabric
4 inch diameter circle yellow fabric
black thread
gray thread
1 bag silky soft ultra plush fiber
3 inches velcro
1 Arduino Uno
1 Adafruit Wave Shield
1 project box, 6” X 3” X 2”
1 9 volt battery clip
1 slide switch
1 push button
1 mobi headphonies designer micro speaker (cannibalized for speaker and amplifier)
1 2GB SD card
Electrical wire
plastic lid to a cottage cheese container
