I love this idea. There aren't enough places to play mini-golf around here, and I expect to make a few of these. I'm curious: how well do those strips allow the golf ball to travel the inch up to the cup? Do they make passable ramps, or does one get used to putting a little harder to bump the ball up that inch lip?

What happens is that the gaps between the strips guide the ball in. It's pretty rare that you'll get it on the strip itself.
