Step 3 Cleaning It All Out

Once you have broken into your printer cartridge we need to make a suitable environment for the USB drive. Inside you will find three pieces of foam, these are what the ink is stored in. Using your knife, or some other small object like a straightened paper clip perhaps, pull these out. Go ahead and throw these away, be careful though as they most likely still have ink in them. Then just take a piece of a paper towel and run it all around the inside until no more ink rubs off. If you cannot completely clean it out simply take a bit of a paper towel and scrunch it up and shove it in there to keep any more ink from leaking out.
