In this instructable I will show you how to make a bone saw, saw that you can connect to any electric screw driver (the safest option) a power drill (not a good idea if you make any contract with skin) or even a simple screw driver with changeable bits.

*****DISCLAIMER***** do not use this blade on any power drills or dremels, only use this on a low speed low torque power screw drive ..I'm not responsible if you some how hurt some one! PLEASE USE COMMON SENSE, even though with is a prop and not sharp you could still hurt some one.

so that being said proceed with caution

I made this drill a few years ago but I felt like I had to make an instructable since people always ask me how I made this.

Step 1: What You'll Need

You'll need a 1/4" Hex to Square Adapter or an old screw driver bit.

A dremel with a grinder wheel / cutting disk your choice OR some metal files for some grinding.

Some metal epoxy / Gorilla glue epoxy or epoxy putty.

Part of a floppy drive motor- optional but helps hold in some epoxy and it looks cool.

Some red and black paint to get rid of some of the shininess

A cheap powered screw driver

Step 2: Where to Get the Fake Sawblade

They do not make battle bot toys anymore so, the best place you can find this kits made or still in box would be ebay maybe craigs list, amazon, yard sales good will and so on.

Step 3: Sawblade Alternitives

I've been thinking of some so I could make a second bone saw but have been unable to due to lack of tools.

The only options i thought of are

laser cut out a piece of acrylic, plastic or wood in a saw shape (make sure you sand the edges alot)

water jet out a piece of metal in a saw shape (make sure you sand the edges alot)

and my final idea is if you have a 3d printer you can simply print out a nicely detailed blade.

Step 4: How to Fit Peg a Into Slot B

IF YOU MAKE YOUR OWN SAW BLADE YOU MIGHT AS WELL SKIP THIS STEP

After months of trying to figure out how to attach the saw to the power screwdriver and still be able to use the power screw driver. so I finally noticed the hex to square bit was just slightly larger than the slot in the saw.

To the easiest way to make them fit, is to slowly file away excess metal on the adapter or to quickly grind away with a dremel tool.

The best tips I can give is grind very slowly and take only a little off at a time and keep checking to see if the blade will slide on, you don't want it too loose. Also only grind 2 sides that are touching so it will stay in the shape of a square not a rectangle as it gets smaller.

Step 5: Make Peg a Stay in Slot B

Time for the epoxy and a good amount of it since this will be taking some force.

Insert your newly modified adapter into the saw and if possible put this into a vice or have something this can rest on while still letting the adapter hang. Mix up a good amount of epoxy and work quickly to cover around the top of the bit (and most of the blade if you wanted to give it texture like mine). once the epoxy has set, flip it over , mix a lil more epoxy and just put a small coating around the base of the adapter.

Let this dry over night and then give it a test run and if you want give it a gory paint job like I did.

Step 6: YOUR DONE

Now time to go scare your friends and terrorize people at your haunted house. Now that being said USE COMMON SENSE THIS STILL LOOKS LIKE A VERY REAL WEAPON DON'T BE STUPID.
