Wait for the paint to dry and then reinstall the bottle back onto the BBQ. Then sit back and enjoy how much cheerier it makes any barbecue area.

that's way awesome , but don't you turn the tanks back in to get a new one ?

It's still way cheaper to refill them at a local farm store or propane shop. WAY cheaper!

Trading the tank in for a new one is, so far as I recall, a relatively recent development, and means that propane refills are available at places like Home Depot which typically didn't offer refilling in the past. I'm sure there are licensing and inspection requirements for a refilling installation that big-box stores would just as soon not bother with.

Here in Waconia, MN, a refill is $18 at the farm supply store and a local gas station does the swap for $20.
