Introduction: Pupcake :)
Do you have a furry friend at home? If so, you know how patiently they have sat through your birthday and other holidays. Why not give them a chance to celebrate too, with this dog friendly cake. Yum!
Step 1: Gather Ingredients
Before you begin preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
For this dog-on good treat you will need:
1 tsp. ginger
2 cps. flour
1/2 softened butter
2 mashed bananas
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1tsp. baking soda
3/4 cup water
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
Step 2: Mash Bananas
Take your two bananas and mash like a mad man with a fork.
Step 3: Using the Mixer
Add softened butter, mix until combined. Then add 3 eggs and your water. Use the mixer once more until smooth.
Step 4: Dry Ingredients
Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, ginger and cinnoman to the banana mixture. Stir until smooth batter is formed.
Step 5: The Pouring of the Batter.
Take you favorite pan. We used a 3 demensional dog house, but use whatever floats your boat. Spray pam, and dust the inside with flour. Than take your batter and pour like theres no tomorrow.
Step 6: Oven Time!
Place your pan into your preheated oven. Set the time for 30 minute, depending on your pan. Test your cake every so often, to make sure it is to your dogs standards. We used a toothpick to check if it is thouroughly baked. Once it is finished let cool for 20 minutes. Than remove from you baking pan.
Step 7: Decorations.
No one, not even a dog likes a plain cake. Take your imagination for a walk on the wild side.
Grab a jar of peanut butter and decorate away. We dyed our peanut butter red with food coloring. Yes, it is safe for dogs...just in small doses. A little goes a long way.
Then frost your cake. We still were not satisfied with the cake. We wanted it to have more pizazz. We also frosted a dog door and made the roof pop. Feel free to garnish with whatever puppy safe food you have.
Step 8: The Finale!
Serve to your pooch! And watch the joy on his or her face :)
We have a be nice policy.
Please be positive and constructive.
