I fell in love with paper quilling about 5 years ago....and since then i've been gifting people with quilled cards , frames and so on.
Its inexpensive and very beautiful ...all it takes is your time :-)
You could use different colors to suit your clothes and moods....the possibilities are endless!

Shanzi Beautiful addition to ur instructables...

but r these water proof?
shazni (author) in reply to hraza1Jul 3, 2012. 7:36 PM
if you varnish it about 3 thick coats...yes...it's water proof as in an decoupage crafts. i've forgotton and had a wash with it a couple of times and it's still the same. :-) just make sure you varnish well.

i am confused on how to get the paper measurements. this craft is all about making jewlery aout of long pieces of paper right?
shazni (author) in reply to Junie BalloonieMay 26, 2012. 1:06 PM
yes....long strips....different colors....i just rolled randomly till the width i preferred came...for this tutorial...i measured the randomly cut pieces .

to get perfect strips, you can use a paper shredder that shreds neat, 5mm wide strips, thats what i use

My paper shredder is in the picture...the box like thing with the yellow top ( i haven't perfectly closed it) What's fantastic about it is it cuts 2mm strips or 1/8" strips...which is exactly the normal quilling paper width. If i need wider strips i generally mark and cut with a exacto knife :-).
btw..please rate it if you like it. thanks
