Introduction: Quilling Art
Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is rolled, looped, curled, twisted and otherwise manipulated to create shapes which make up designs to decorate greetings cards, pictures, boxes, eggs, and to make models, jewelry, mobiles etc. These items can all be used as thoughtfully designed gifts which many people would highly appreciate. Quilling starts with rolling a strip of paper into a coil and then pinching the coil into shapes that can be glued together. There are advanced techniques and different sized paper that are used to create 3D miniatures, abstract art, and quilled flowers among many things.
Step 1: Lord Ganesha
The Lord Ganesha quilling art started with the lighter sketch and pasted the quilling strips on the lighter drawing. And have made rat through wuilling strips. pasted kundans for the trunk and eye.
Step 2: Birds
The Birds are made using different color quilling strips and brown color quilling strip is twisted to make the branch to look like the real branch.
Step 3: Black Doll
The Black Doll is started with the lighter sketch and pasted the quilling strips in the shape of crepers, flowers etc...It took half day to complete this.
Step 4: Vietnam Girls
The Vietnam Girls are chatting each other in a rainy day. Lighter sketch was made to paste the quilling strips and an umbrella is painted with the water colors.Rain drops are made of pieces of papers and stuck it.
Step 5: Quilling Roses
The Quilling Roses are made of quilling strips. They twisted and brought to the shape of petals.
Step 6: Quilling Ear Rings
Quilling Ear Rings:
The Quilling Ear Rings are made like a flower and hung to the ear hanger.
Step 7: Quilling Bracelet
The Quilling Bracelet is made of the quilled strips and joined through the links.
Step 8: Qulling Hanging Birds
Qulling Hanging Birds:
The Qulling Hanging Birds are made of quilling strips and hung to the plastic hanging plate.
