This is so awesome. You did a great job.
Here's a rough translation for those who don't speak Spanish:

How to make a Star Wars style trash.

Step 1: Plans and measurements-
First thing is to get the dimensions of the bin, and adapt them to R2D2 measurements we want. The measurements and plans can be downloaded from: http://astromech.net/droidwiki/index.php?title=Category:Tutorials

Step 2: Draw and cut the body of R2D2-
Now we have to fit the R2D2 measurements to the trash bin, make sure you keep the pieces, so cut them carefully. The easiest way to cut them is with a jigsaw. (or a Dremmel)

Step 3: The legs-
Cut the boards on 3 levels according to the plans on Step 1 and make sure the legs are adapted to the size of your trash.

Step 4: Details-
Then we'll add wooden fixtures and bottle caps to the legs to detail them. Put plastic cornering on for the edging. We can use plaster placed on the feet and wheels to make moving easier. All the pieces come as they are on the website astromech.net. For the curved pieces I used PVC pipes and a foot of acetate for the inner curve. Parts of the legs are decorated copper pipes of different sizes and cap from a tooth cut. The central eye of the sphere is a 2liter bottle trozao soda and a wood frame.

Step 5: Assemble!-
You will need a second bin to mount the pieces you cut from the other bin, and mount the wooden legs.

Step 6: Final painting-
The last step is the painting of all parts and body. It is best to paint it first with a primer that is purchased at any hardware store. then paint to your taste. I decided to spray paint red and white for the body. One recommendation is that you paint all parts separately and assemble them later, and the for the central eye lens I recommend painting the inside to make it pop more. I hope you liked this and enjoyed it.
