hey guys !!!

first of all, i'd like to say that in about a week's time since i posted the slideshow and video, i got nothing but positive reviews, most of which were even "beyond positive", if you know what i mean... anyway, thanks to everyone that inspired me to post an 'ible for this great weapon of mine. here is the thing you were all waiting for, so get building (you won't regret it).

so if you haven't seen it yet, this is my pump-action rifle that has a removable magazine, something i've never seen before on a pump-action (therefore, the reason i started making this gun in the first place). according to oblivitus, he counted the number of shots and the number of seconds passing on my vid, and found that it shot a little over 3 rounds per sec (AWESOOOME !!!!). also, i got it to shoot 83 feet. it's dead accurate too. all these things and more are explained on the vid, so check it out (link at the bottom).

mark-1 stats:
83 feet range with 3 #28 bands
extremely accurate
removable magazine
10 round magazine
PUMP ACTION !!!
doesn't jam
easy to pump
7 layers
weighs about 1.7 kg/3.75 pounds
100% reliable, innovative true trigger
handle comforts/ supports/ whatever-s
removable (and therefore switchable) cheek rest with eye protector
plastic sights, no scope
dense and heavy stock to balance the weight on the front
strong ram, trigger, barrel. enables to put A LOT of band power. i use 3 #28 bands and it's still amazingly easy to pump
really easy to pump and really easy to pull the trigger
short pump/ram pull
you can easily fix a miss-pump

mods in mark-2:
slightly easier to pump
you can now swap between pumps (handle, horizontal, vertical, etc.). i can do so in a little less than a minute
gun's structure a little stronger
fixed a few things in the pump body that made it quite uncomfortable (in mark-1)
strengthened ram for more band pressure
added safety
added wheels where one of the bands goes to prevent it from often ripping
a few other minor things were modded for the better

DON'T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE !!! it only takes a second

Be sure to check out the video and the slideshow as well.

is there a parts list
Hi, here is my version of your REMPAR, this is one of the best guns I have built in Knex. It is powerful easy to pump and very innovative. Finished building it yesterday and the highest range so far is about 75 ft, which is good if you think that it is pump action and really easy to pull back. I highly recommend to anyone who has the parts to build this gun it is a beast!!

Thank you so much for your comment! It really is just that that drives me to make these guns, and although I haven't posted in a very long while, I have a couple of guns planned that I am already working on, no spoilers, but one of them is a lever action and it's something I've been working on for over a year now (on and off, granted). Thank you for the awesome pic and fantastic words, I am ever so grateful to everyone who has ever said such things to me... I hope you stay tuned for a while, you have some awesome guns headed your way from me, and one of them is to do with this gun, nothing more I can say at this point. I absolutely agree with everything you said and I remember how much fun it was, specs aside, just to play around with this gun for the fun of it... :D Thank you very much, again, for the motivation, and good day to you, fine sir!
Man, hes making me want to build it. XD

Part list please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sharir1701 (author)  Vanseith1 year ago
Please don't go about asking people for parts lists on their guns. I won't explain why just because I'm too lazy to do that at this time, but you shouldn't do that if you do not wish to annoy people.
it looks cool, when I have enough parts I would build it someday.

thanks! good luck to you in that same day.

Hey are there any special parts on this i.e blue clips and if there are nblue clips can teh be subbed? plz respond fast cuz i wanna build
Sharir1701 (author)  The Knexer1 year ago
yes, there are a few blue clips, most can be subbed, but i know of at least 3 that can't be subbed. also, i don't know what other "special parts" you are talking about, but why do you need me to go through my entire 'ible looking for them for you, when you can do the same. the 3 required blue clips, anyway, are one on the trigger block, and two on the pump body, on the "lower" top barrel part. if they are not there, the pump gets stuck on the top of the magazine. if they are longer, like 1 slot connectors, the pump can't be taken all the way back and therefor the gun won't work.
Ok thx lol i rly wanna build this but i dont have like any special parts (hinges, ball joints/sockets,etc lol but thx for replying
Sharir1701 (author)  The Knexer1 year ago
oh well then that's really limiting you on what you can build... i would heartily advise you buy some of those parts.
Yeah i just made an order on knex.com for like every special part lol
Sharir1701 (author)  The Knexer1 year ago
ok that's good, but just for future reference, knex.com and knexusergroup.com are basically the same site, sell the same parts in the same format and everything but everything is a bit cheaper on knexusergroup, so when ordering amounts of pieces, knexusergroup saves you at least 5-10 dollars in total. also, ebay is a lot cheaper than both. if you find someone selling a bulk amount of knex, it'll usually be very cheap and a lot of all types of parts. but i would rather buy my pieces on an arranged pick-my-own-parts site like knex.com or knexusergroup.com. just thought you might like to know.

on a similar note, what parts did you order (and roughly their quantities)?
Thx for everything oh btw i actually havent orderd it yet i just ment i got it picked out im still deciding the pices i mainly ordered special pices like hinges, ball sockets/joints, tan clips, blue clip, y clips, flexi rods, more rods, gears, chain, and connecters, and a few spacers. thats about all but thx i might comapr it to knexusergroup if i get it picked ojut there. Thx for the information!
Sharir1701 (author)  The Knexer1 year ago
k sounds good, but if you're only doing guns (as in not ball machines and/or roller coasters), chains won't be useful. also, i remember making a big mistake on my first couple of orders where i bought a lot of everything but a lot of green rods (tiny ones), but far from enough. i had a long time of being frustrated because i had so many free parts, but no green rods, so i couldn't build anything with the parts i had left. anyway, what i'm saying is make sure you get a good amount of green rods. think of a number you think is good, double it, and that's how you know. no joke ! and np, always glad to help.

Alright so does this gun have less pieces than the Knexsayer? If I can build the Knexsayer then I can build this. I just don't want to start a project (this gun) then end up having not enough pieces to finish it.
Sharir1701 (author)  shmi1172 years ago
I don't know. I didn't count the pieces of neither. It doesn't use much pieces. A lot of it is hollow and some parts can be built hollow, like the stock
tytiger332 years ago
I never had good luck with internal mag pushers so I used KillerSafeCracker's T.B.A.R. mag. I also use a variation on the standard ammo.
It is a ball joint, green rod, orange connector, half a green rod. I have yet to break this ammo on anything.
Sharir1701 (author)  tytiger332 years ago
yes, the magazines are very similar, good choice. why isn't the internal pusher working for you though? it should be working just fine... also, check out my latest 'ible.

P.S. almost forgot, i like the bullet idea, sounds good.
I never have the right band for the mag and if I do it breaks so fast.
That round is my standerd round for my guns. I use it in your pump action and Seleziona's G36K (I had to mod that gun to use it but it was simple to do).
My "Armour Piercing Round" is a white rod, orange connector, half a green rod.
Sharir1701 (author)  tytiger332 years ago
ok. why would you need that? sounds like it wouldn't get any range or accuracy, and besides, why do you need 2 types of ammo at all? anyhow, i've used the grey con. - green rod - brown con. - cut rod for a long time, but now i'm focusing on bolt-actions and similars (like my TDAC), which are much more efficient (stronger, more accurate, higher range) and use a higher caliber (and therefore better) ammo - a yellow rod. also, the yellow rod can't explode if you shoot it at a hard wall, unlike all multiple part bullets.
For me it is a little better for target practice. And it does penetrate better for me. Especially tougher foams. Besides I like verity. And I don't disagree with you when it comes to the yellow rods in bolt actions and single shot guns.
Sharir1701 (author)  tytiger332 years ago
what ever... rods are the best penetraters, and i never come across a situation where i need to penetrate (insert sex joke here) anything.
Torpe2 years ago
How many green rods does it use?
Sharir1701 (author)  Torpe2 years ago
honestly, i have no idea. and, dude, most probably anyone that posts a rifle that doesn't have a piece count/estimate probably won't know and/or won't be willing to count them. i'm sorry... i took it apart anyway.
Ok, I'll make it work, don't worry about it. Thanks anyway.
hegemann442 years ago
where do you break/cut the red and blue rods?
Sharir1701 (author)  hegemann442 years ago
you cut them so that they are long enough to hold 5 layers of knex, but short enough to not protrude out of the sides of the 5 layers. it's not exact science, just cut it at about 5 layers.
The Jamalam2 years ago
I'd like to know, is all the bulk necessary? it looks good, but by my judgement you could easily make this more compact. I might have a go, actually, judging from the feedback it sounds like it functions well.
Sharir1701 (author)  The Jamalam2 years ago
well, to answer that question i'll explain why the bulk is semi-necessary. you need 3 layers in the middle for friction-less barrel and removable magazine. then you need 2 more layers for the pump body. then you need 2 more layers for the outter walls of the gun to hold everything together. without them, it's just a big bending scramble. so, 3+2+2=7. the gun is 7 layers thick. the reason i said it is semi-necessary is because you can just make a non-removable magazine and a much more friction- full barrel. you can also somehow make the pump body go through a certain point in the barrel, and then have it pushing the pin from the top of the gun, like in kinetic's BPTA (i think that's the name). so, it is not necessary, but then it would be just a different type of gun. so, if you want to keep my design of a gun, i'm pretty sure it is necessary. and it does function very well, yes. did you check out the vid?
This gun is fantastic! I love the mechanism, solid and it always pumps the ram back. On thing though is the top part of the barrel (Step 5 Picture 6/7) at the back wiggles a bit, so the firing pin sometimes pops out of the barrel, and jams. I suggest that sqeezing the top with a strong band, so the sanded yellow connector doesn't wiggle.

Overall, great gun and the mag system is one of the most reliabl I've seen.
Sharir1701 (author)  TheFoofinator2 years ago
i found a way to make it wiggle a lot less. i simply put another yellow (grey) rod in the middle slot of the 3-way connector back there, put spacers on it, and strengthen it with 1-way connectors on the outside. if you want, i'll upload a pic. it barely wiggles now, but it didn't bother me before, as i said, so with this reinforcement it works even better.
Sharir1701 (author)  TheFoofinator2 years ago
thanks !!! did you put 1 way connectors on the top back barrel part? they're essential there so that it won't wiggle. it never does for me. this is the first gun i've ever seen that has passed a month and hasn't jammed even ONCE !!! no other gun i've built or seen on this site or KI is this reliable with such great qualities. this is the best gun out there, in my opinion, but then again, it is my gun. of course i love it...

sorry for talking a lot... thanks anyway !!!
Yes, I put the grey connectors on to squeeze the top part so it doesn't wiggle, but it still does, it may be down to the age/quality of the parts used (some I have are from 1997 0_0) Metallics are newer so the part where the rails on the rods end in less likely to be worn down.

My cousin modified his to have 2 yellow rods on either side of the wiggling piece and his didn't wiggle. I may be able to get pics off him if he comprehends.

I will replace all the parts in that area with metallics (I don't use them often due to the number I have, and see if it makes a difference- they shouldn't be worn down)

That aside, this gun is great. it is a little on the bulky side, but not unmanagable and unavoidable :)
Sharir1701 (author)  TheFoofinator2 years ago
maybe. i used a metallic as you can see.

your cousin built it? does he have an account? rate it and sub, maybe? lol

ok. good luck !

yes it is, but it's mostly hollow, so it's not heavy, and you really do get used to the bulkiness after a week or so and now i don't even notice it at all. yes, it is a must for the gun to be as it is, because otherwise, it would be sooooooo much less cooler and so much more generic and old.
do you mind if i use your mag as a basis for the next gun I'm trying to build?
Sharir1701 (author)  Ben_the_Builder2 years ago
nope. feel free to. just, when you make a video or in the description i would like you to give me credit and call the mag SSM (Sharir1701's Standard Magazine). what kind of gun are you building?
matstermind2 years ago
works great!, if you don't have many cut rod ends for the bullets, found this works just as good

top one is the original

thanks !!! i'll have to check that out... thanks for telling me about it.
