Introduction: RICE AND LENTILS PILAF RECIPE
Hi dear visitors of my page and viewers of my YouTube Channel!
I've decided to introduce you to a new and very easy-to-cook recipe which is very healthy and tasty at the same time!
Step 1: INGREDIENTS AND COOKING
This dish has two main ingredients:
1. 150-200 grams of White Jasmine Rice and the same amount of regular lentils (I give recipe for two servings)
2. you may need to use either unsalted butter (about 50-70 grams) or grapeseed or olive oil
3. Some salt and dried dill (the green herb that helps to digest) and some water.
For the beginning, we need to cook the lentils with three times more cold water than the amount of lentils. DO NOT COOK FULLY, just turn off the heat after 20 minutes, so the lentils are semi-cooked and separate the water with the help of a colander.
Then add the rice into the emptied from the lentils water and again semi-cook the rice.
Later, add the lentils back to the water and already semi-cooked rice and cook till both the rice and lentils are fully cooked! Add some salt at the end.
After the water totally evaporates, add some unsalted butter and dried dill powder and fry for about five minutes.
Congrats, your pilaf is ready to be served!
Step 2: SERVING WITH STYLE :)
As a healthy dish, this pilaf may be served with some crackers, olives and reddishes and some fresh dill (if you like)!
