Hi guys! I decided to build this great gun, as i have always liked big projects (well, kinda). It has some brilliant features, such as the CHAIN LOADED finring system (a first for me) , top handle, back angled handle, and of course spinning barrell. The stand pivots through 150 degrees (roughly) and can turn slightly without breaking. I am planning to make this into an instructable, and be the first to post a full knex minigun instructable. Hope you like!

The definition of a chain gun is basicly the gun you have there, A minigun is a gun whith multipul rottating barrels that each fire when they reach the top of the gun. (Fun Fact) The fastest chain gun fires around 1000 bullets a second. The fastest minigun fires 24000 rounds a second
TehPotato says: Dec 12, 2009. 10:10 AM
Actually, dude, 24000 rounds a second would be impossible... so would 1000 rounds a second. The m134 dillon minigun, is the most advanced and fastest firing gatling gun in service today. It fires 3000 rounds a minute, yes minute, not second. Which is actually freakishly fast. The reason it fires so fast is because it has 6 rotating barrels, which can fire any standard nato 7.62mm round such as tracers, armour peircing and so on.

im sure he means per minute
RMConstruction (author) says: Sep 23, 2009. 12:33 PM
Go say that to ironman69 and his minigun if you dare!

I KNOW LEAVE ME ALONE, I TRIED, OK?
Knex Guru says: Jan 26, 2010. 5:55 PM
Miniguns are capable of firing much faster but they have to be toned down as far as that goes.

Don't lecture me, question me.
bighead5454 says: Jul 19, 2010. 12:15 AM
FUN FACT: It is physically impossible for a single person to hold (with no support at all) a minigun and fire it at the same time.
RMConstruction (author) says: Jul 21, 2010. 1:02 PM
Not actually true. There is a triple barrel in the GAU series, I thing it's the GAU-17 Equaliser (Possibly 19...) that can be.

yeah, it is a bit skeletony, but i'd have to say this is one of the best miniguns other than ironman's. post it!!! I would also make that chain a little longer though. that chaing would probably run out in like, a second. great gun man 5 stars!!!

I only have that many links :p

i tried to make a mini gun, but i dont have a motor that i can use cause i bought it off ebay, and it was missing the main gear. my minigun chain bullets could shoot like 30 feet at least. they were really powerful for a minigun.

Pic? Discription?
The Jamalam says: Apr 28, 2009. 7:41 AM
nice minigun. I like it, could be a bit bigger, but it would be a bit too heavy to move without it breaking if you did.
RMConstruction (author) says: Apr 28, 2009. 8:29 AM
yeah... i tried to add extra layers but ran out of spacers :p
dsman195276 says: Apr 27, 2009. 2:59 PM
hmm, you got my hopes up. this is a chain gun, not a minigun. but good job anyway! still looks cool.
RMConstruction (author) says: Apr 28, 2009. 7:40 AM
But, for you, what defines a minigun from a chaingun?
DJ Radio says: Apr 26, 2009. 1:05 PM
Its a bit skeletony, but A minigun like that uses a ton of parts, so I understand. Go ahead and post
RMConstruction (author) says: Apr 27, 2009. 7:50 AM
gotta disassemble first... for pics....
RMConstruction (author) says: Apr 27, 2009. 7:49 AM
