Picture of RMConstruction's Knex True Lever Action Rifle!
The very first posted mech for a true lever action. The lever isn't really that hard to pull back, and unfortunatly, you cannot overdo the rubberbands, as you'll end up pulling the equivalent force with the lever, and possibly break it :-(

It  can easily take 2 #64 RB's, bit I haven't tried more...

Pretty damn cool
Lever works smoothly
Good Weight
Iron sights

Bit blocky
Sometimes jams...

Vid of it shooting too!

Step 1: Small odds and ends

 Small and vital pieces

Step 2: Shell

The main body of the gun, and some of the innards...

Step 3: Lever, second trigger and bottom of the handle

The step name says it all.

Step 4: Partial assembly, and stock

Yeah... um...

Notes are there...

Step 5: Top rail

Picture of Top rail
All of the same part, different angles...

Step 6: Main assembly and stringing

You will need some STRONG string. Something you can tie...

Step 7: Loading and firing

Well well, you got this far. Go hang it up somewhere, if you just want to look at it.

Step 8: Bask in glory!

Nice one!

What you are looking at or about to look at anyway, is my latest and greatest!

check out my concept for a true lever action gun it dosent use any string and can hold quite a bit more power
ghostpotato2 years ago
is the stock nessisary and mabe a part count would be nice but youve prob torn this apart already
RMConstruction (author)  ghostpotato2 years ago
The stock isn't necessary for function, though it makes it a lot easier to actuate the lever.
ryry20114 years ago
you want to build that thing
RMConstruction (author)  ryry20114 years ago
What 'thing'?
the gun dosent even look like the real thing
Dude what are you talking about, this isn't modeled after anything.
RMConstruction (author)  ryry20114 years ago
It was simply a proof of concept, not a replica of any Winchester 1892.
RMConstruction (author)  ryry20114 years ago
So your argument is invalid and therefore you have no place in this conversation.
well nether do you ehter
RMConstruction (author)  ryry20114 years ago
I think you'll find this is my Instructable, therefore I can comment to whom and whence I like. You need to spell correctly. I cannot believe you spell like that in real life.
I think he genuinely can't spell, not just typos. He always spell so 'so' as 'sow' and other repeated words.

Looks great!

can oit work without the wheel thingys
RMConstruction (author)  chato563 years ago
It won't be anywhere near as smooth but it might....
AUG-5OM33 years ago
I love it. Can I use it in my coming idea? (you'll get credit of course.)
RMConstruction (author)  AUG-5OM33 years ago
Of course! Just give it a better body and I'll be happy!
Thanks, I love the mechanism but I want to make a different body.

Not to be a late buzzkill, but this isn't 'true' lever action. A lever does not prime; it clears a previous round and chambers a new one.

are you doing video editing? cuz i don't know anyone using a greenscreen for photography...
like it! 5*!

ill make this, whats the range?
RMConstruction (author)  ~KGB~4 years ago
Depends on:
1) What strength string you have (enables you to pull heftier bands)
2) Amount of bands
3) What type of ammo (Shorten/lengthen the mag to fit blues).
ok, thanks!
Pure dung not sturdy
RMConstruction (author)  sharpbike1234 years ago
Pure rage cos' your gun is block trigger.
builder9685 years ago
Awesome. I'll build this later this week and turn it into a shotgun. Or at least, I'll try.

RMConstruction (author)  builder9685 years ago
I tried this with shells, it didn't work out...
5 STARS! Can you say wickedawesomecool?

Thanks !
Sweet Build, could use a bit of modding for betterlooks, mabey a bit sturdier, but overall a nice gun. 4.5*

P.S. didint you mean but instead of bit when you mention how many RB's you'v tested?
Agreed on the look... Ugly beast :-(

And ill look into that :-p

So it's basically Mepain's string-powered pump-action, but with a lever instead? Meh.
RMConstruction (author)  Raikou-san5 years ago
I made this mech from scratch! Coincidental!
