In this case an SCPPR ... Self Contained Pneumatic Powered Rocket.

The wind was fierce this day!!! The light rocket veered off target but distance was still impressive...

I still have to find a safe and approved location to fully distance test the paintball rockets.

Step 1: Safe In The City

To address the concerns from MANY...

I did obtain proper permission from the private owners of the property before conducting tests. The authorities were notified of the location and nature of the tests.

The tests did not include the firing of the toy at a target that would create concern.

The tests did occur on private property.

This device was designed for use in private areas where the participants were aware of the nature of the device. IE paintball range. that is the reason and design of the original colouring.

Inner city use may cause problems. Don't do it!!!!

In order to prevent getting arrested,,, shot... or raising the terror level... it is advisable to get proper permission from the authorities before firing ANY rocket in a public area.

The barrel of the device can be identified as a toy by orange indication. I have modified this one as shown for future tests.

The projectiles will be similar in identification.

For paintball... all bets are off, NO ORANGE... you and your army of friends will be hit from a long way away!!! HAPPY HIDING!!!
have video course?

thank for sharing

This ible is wicked cool! Keep it up!

Isn't the title for step three a ZZ top song?
Nice find on the Easter Egg! PM me for your reward!
What do you mean by PM you? I'm just unsure

PM stands for "private message"

Oh shoot! Thank you, I'm horrible with abbrevations!

This shoots missiles but rpg stands for rocket propelled GRENADE

Might wanna check your info, this is indeed a Rocket Propelled Grenades. It'd also fit the archaic definition of 'Missile', but it's lacking the guidance to be a modern missile.

awesome
All I have to say is that performance and ease of firing would greatly be improved by adding a pneumatic "Sprinkler valve" release.

Other than that, 9/10. Good job!
I'm in the middle of building this right now. I just tested the function before putting it into the aesthetic case, and damn. This thing shoots way farther than I had imagined. Definitely will be an effective tool in airsoft games, especially when it's self contained.
I know! Right? I just kept test firing rockets and had a hard time stopping to finishing it. I will try your suggestion about the foam. Post your finished project! I would love to see it!
A suggestion for the indoor rockets: make the diameter of the tail smaller, and extend the fins to encompass a longer length of the tail. Perhaps use a thinner foam or another soft material to cover the tail. Foam creates a hell of a lot of drag.
All I got to say is: YUK, what a mess! But better than the REAL thing.
Thanks for all the positive feedback!!!

I am currently working on a better rocket and will be posting video of the launches soon. Since it is raining here I will have to get the video when weather permits.

New rockets look great and check out the rockets section later today!!!!
We need the rockettube on youtube!
Good craftmanship by the way.

Love it! Where abouts in Canada are you?
That is awesome, love it !!
sweet! I want one!
Any change of getting a video / youtube of this bad-boy in action? Pretty epic!
Totally bad-ass.
So awesome.
I love it! but would recommend more of a Legal Disclaimer in there! Different States have crazy Laws even in NJ ,Slingshots are illegal! and some laws just say propelled projectile, even diameter might matter on if it falls as a Destructive Device. I am not trying to scare you just recommend that you cover yourself a little better, I know it is to shoot paint balls as long as the BATF and states see it that way no problem , if not it could be bad for whomever makes it! Love it just a suggestion.
There is no kill like overkill.

Give it a try with a soda bottle instead of a water bottle. Bottles for carbonated beverages are made to much stricter specifications and can stand well over 100 psi without deforming.
hhhhhh great hop I want one
I voted for you
Cool
One suggestion. Please do not paint it camouflage colors. Also color to the front bright orange to indicate to law enforcement that it is a toy and not a real toy.

Other than that, great 'ible.
Sorry, that was supposed to be "that it is a toy and not a real weapon".
