Introduction: Rainbow Chalk Vial

This is a colorful chalk filled mini vial idea. I've seen many vials filled with colorful sand, but since I didn't have any sand, chalk works perfectly.

Step 1: What You Will Need

-A vial of any size with a cork, I chose a 2.5cm tall one from Jo-Ann fabrics ($1.99).

-one paper plate to funnel the grated chalk into the vial

-colorful chalk from the art/craft section of Walmart ($3.88),

-and a cheese grater.

Step 2: Grate Chalk

With the cheese grater, grate the first color you want (I chose red) and with the thinnest side of the grater, grind the color of chalk and funnel it into the vial about 1/8th of the way full.

-In the picture I made a funnel out of paper to pour the chalk into but I used the paper plate after the red chalk and it seemed to work better.

Step 3: Grate Chalk Again

Do step one with the next few colors of your choice and pour each color about 1/8th into the vial each time.

Step 4: Fill to Top

Make sure to fill the vial completely to avoid mixing the chalk. This will create a beautiful and cute little decoration or gift to give to a friend or keep just for yourself:]
