Introduction: Rainbow Pretzels

These soft pretzels are yummy and super easy to make!

Step 1: Dough

4 tsp active dry yeast

1 tsp sugar

1 1/4 c lukewarm water

Sprinkle sugar on water followed with yeast. Let bloom for 5-10 mins, stir

In a bowl, mix 3 1/4 c flour with 1/4 c sugar and 3 tsp salt. Make a well in center

Pour yeast mixture and add 1 tbsp oil, knead

Cover and let rise on warm area for half H

Step 2: Coloring and Second Rise

After half H, you will see that dough is rising already, punch down

Divide dough into 4 portions and add enough gel food coloring to each of them (I use blue, green, purple, red and orange) - about 3-5 drop/tip of toothpick, knead

Let dough rise again for another 30 mins in warm place

Knead to combine

Step 3: Pretzels Making

Preheat oven to 450 F

Once kneaded, slice pretzels into 8 portions

Roll each portion into ropes and bath them for a second in baking soda solution

Place pretzels on baking sheet and sprinkle with coarse sea salt

Bake pretzels for 8 minutes

Baking Soda Solution

1/2 c baking soda in 4 c hot boiling water
