The crayons will melt at different rates, the yellow and brown melted first. Some of the inexpensive crayons never melted. You just have o fish them out or work around them.

I think it is six of one. I don't like to get the wrappers up under my fingernails, personal weirdness, so I would rather fish them out. The wrappers also make for lots of bits of paper if my girls are even willing to remove them. I like the crayons from pre school cause most of the wrapper are already removed by unknown small folks.
