Here are a few basic tarot card layouts with a tarot deck and with an Angel card deck by Doreen Virture.

I've had the Universal Waite Tarot Deck for many years. It came with a large book and a mat layout to help you know where to place the cards until you get used to the placement of the spread.

I bought the Angel cards a few years ago and I really like their positive vibe!

Doreen Virture has many different types of spiritual cards that you can buy online are many other authors of different types of spiritual cards you can buy.

I also like to use a sage smug stick for cleansing and blessings. (or light a candle. )

Step 1: Ten Card Spread 1-6

Ten Card Layout using the Tarot Deck Cards

***Take a few deep breaths and shuffle the deck of cards. Some people like to say an opening prayer or a verse. As you shuffle think of a situation you want to know about or a question you want answered. Then layout the first six cards as shown in the pictures.

Card 1-present position (the questioner)

Card 2-immediate influence(obstacles ahead)- Place on top of card one

Card 3-Goal or destiny- place above the first two cards

Card 4-Distant past foundation -Place to the right of the first two cards

Card 5-Recent past events-place this card below the first two cards

Card 6-Future influence-place to the left of the first two cards.

Use the guidebook to help interpret the first six cards.

Step 2: Ten Card Spread 7-10

After reading the preceding six cards, turn over the next four cards from the deck.

Card 7-The Questioner-bottom

Card 8-Environmental factors -above card 7

Card 9- Inner Emotions-above card 8

Card 10- Final Result (the culmination) -above card 9

Use the guidebook to interpret the last four cards. Some people like to end with a closing prayer or verse.

Step 3: Three Card Spread - Angel Oracle Cards

Card 1 Past (left)

Card 2 Present (middle)

Card 3 Future (right)

*** Take a few deep breaths and think about a question to ask the Angels.

Shuffle the deck in your hands.

Pull three cards from the deck and lay them out in order..... one, two, three.

Use the Guidebook to help interpret the spread.

Start with card one in the past position, then read the middle card the present situation and last the Future card.

Step 4: One Card Spread

This is a one card spread.

***Take a few deep breaths and think of a question to ask the Angels.

Shuffle the deck and pull a card.

If a card falls out while you are shuffling the cards, that is your card turn it over and use the guidebook to help interpret the meaning.

Step 5: Tarot Card Three Card Reading

The same spread as the Angel Three card spread but with the Tarot cards.

Card 1 Past (left)
Card 2 Present (middle)
Card 3 Future (right)

*** Take a few deep breaths and think about a question you want to ask or a situation.

Shuffle the deck in your hands.
Pull three cards from the deck and lay them out in order..... one, two, three.
