Recycle A Wool Sweater Into A Pet Carrier

Recycle A Wool Sweater Into A Pet Carrier
This project is super easy to make! You need basic sewing skills and a wool sweater that you don't wear anymore. The bag took me about 20 minutes from start to finish. If you want a plain old tote bag, just skip the step where you cut out the notch for you pet's head.

If you liked this 'ible, I have a lot more pet related crafts at my blog. Come by for a visit, I'd love to make your aquaintance :)

Step 1Tools & Supplies

Tools & Supplies
The supplies you need for this project are pretty minimal. You need an old wool sweater, a pair of scissors, a black marker, some straight pins and a sewing machine. If you don’t have a sewing machine, you can use a needle and thread.

If you would like to add a little elegance to your bag, you can finish the cut parts of the sweater with some ribbon or fabric.

If you left the sleeves on, could they go around your shoulder? I'd like to be able to do that. Could you tell me how I would do that?

I love to make things & work with my hands. I mostly make stuff for dogs and sometimes I dabble with recipes, too. Right now I'm in the process of setting up a DIY blog for pet lovers.
