Recycled monster is made out of salvaged material, mostly things I find around kids.

Monster and his friend,  Robot man help me open up discutions with kiddo's about reducing & recycling, and thinking about art materials in different ways. They hang out on my backpack, and kids like to play with them.  I often challenge the kiddos to figure out what they're made of. They are surprisingly durable, and handle water well.
