Don't we all hate that loud beep a ups makes when power goes? Don't we wish it can be softer instead of being loud annoying?

Read on for a quick fix I usually do for all piezoelectric beepers.

Step 1: Open Up and Identify the Beeper.

It's easy to find. Its the circular black device as in the pic.

Step 2: Applying Sound Attenuation!

Using double sides foam tape I applied two layers onto the top of the piezoelectric beeper.

Now as power goes, the beeping is softer and yet we all know that the ups is running on battery!

Cheap and easy in 6 minutes!

Neat & Nice!

Thanks!

I did this with my microwave to make it quieter.

Yes those piezoelectric beepers are powerful stuff.
