Introduction: Reed Pizza!
This pizza is a simple recipe that me and my wife like to use to enjoy making pizza together. It takes approximately half an hour to make and bake before enjoyment, and makes plenty of pizza for leftovers! With a thick crust you can easily make a 12" round pizza, or you can use a bigger pan for a thinner crust.
Step 1: Ingredients!
Here's a list of ingredients you will use in making the pizza:
1. 3-3 ½ cups flour
2. 2 Tbs (Tablespoon) yeast·
3. 1 tsp (Teaspoon) salt
4. 1 1/3 cup warm water
5. 2 Tbs olive oil
6. 2 Tbs honey (This is optional)
7. Pizza seasoning
8. Garlic salt or seasoned salt
8. Your choices of cheese and toppings!
Step 2: Preheat and Mix
Preheat the oven to 420 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, put in the following:
3 cups of flour,
2 Tbs of yeast,
1 tsp of salt,
1 and 1/3 cups of warm water,
2 Tbs olive oil
2 Tbs of honey.
(These are all the ingredients except for your seasonings, cheese, and toppings)
Step 3: Mix and Rest
Mix with your bare hands for 5 minutes, adding flour as needed if the crust is too sticky (Too much flour though will cause the crust to be crumbly).
After the dough is well mixed, roll it into a ball, cover it and let it rest for 3 minutes.
Step 4: Roll and Add Sauce
While waiting for 3 minutes, spread a little bit of your salt on the bottom of the pan you're going to use. After the waiting time is up, you're now ready to roll your dough onto the pan.
Place the ball in the center and roll it out towards the edges of the pan. Curl the edges of the pizza for a nice crust (You can add cheese by placing it on the edge and folding over the dough to keep the cheese in).
When the dough is rolled out evenly and to your liking, spread some sauce evenly across the dough.
Get ready for your toppings!
Step 5: Add Toppings and Seasoning
Add your cheese, ham, pepperoni, spinach (yes, spinach), and any of your other favorite toppings to your pizza to personalize it!
Spread some pizza seasoning over the pizza, as well as some garlic or seasoned salt along the crust.
Step 6: Bake and Enjoy!
When you're ready, place the pizza in the oven and set a timer for 15 minutes. Bake for those 15 minutes or until the crust is gold.
Take it out, let it cool and then have at it!
