Refurbishing Adidas Samba Classics

 by JamesRPatrick
My shoes have lasted two years now and, through periodic refurbishing, they look brand new. Months of walking around in parking lots for marching band really wears out shoes. I also take these paintballing in the mud.

So I stumbled this wondering how i should clean the sides of my sambas. I like this indestructible and found the commentary on the images entertaining. Couple of things though, I would recommend a suede cleaner solution (I got mine at an adidas store) to clean the suede rather than a sharpie : ) It works great and really brings it back to life. But maybe that doesn't work as well when you wear them to paintball in the mud. Also a little 409 on a paper towel to clean the white stripes and the top of the heel also helps to bring the luster back.

Whoa, it's been a long time since I looked at this. For the stripes, I just use a rubber pencil eraser. Low-tech, but it does the trick.
