…………………………………………………………………………………………………

Parts:

Arduino (any board)

Jumper wires

RF remote and receiver

9volt power supply (for Arduino)

5volt 4 channel relay module

12volt 2Amp ISOALATED transformer

Wire (Needs to handle 5 Amps)

Nichrome wire (from a hair dryer)

Alligator clips

Project box (5x10cm/2x4in) (Optional)

Tools:

Wire stripers

Wire cutters

Screw driver

Hot glue gun

Step 1: Wiring Up

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Arduino:

.....................................

relay:

Vcc to 5v

GND to ' - ' / Ground

Pin 13 to relay 1

Pin 12 to relay 2

Pin 11 to relay 3

Pin 10 to relay 4

.....................................

receiver:

Vcc to 5v (unless it runs on 3.3v)

GND to ' - ' /ground

Output (any button pin) to Arduino's pin 2

....................................

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

12v transformer

One wire (any one) spit to one side of each bit of nichrome wire and

the other wire split to each relay connected to 'COM' port,

last but not least a bit of wire from 'NO' port of the relay to the other side of the nichrome wire. you will need to take the cover off each clip.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Power supply

9v power supply to Arduino power in barrel jack.

Step 2: Uploading the Code

Plug in your arduino, select type of arduino: tools-board-_____ and com port: tools- serial port-________

finally upload the code ctrl-u

Step 3: Housing (Optional )

For this step you can mount everything inside how you want.

Step 1:

Drill four holes on the long side and on the Opposite side drill two holes along with holes on the bottom to mount the 12v transformer.

Step 2:

Glue a piece card board to the bottom of the box on one side (If it is a metal box)

Step 3:

attach the Arduino, relays and RF receiver to the card board.

Step 4:

Mount the 12v transformer with screws and nuts.

Step 4: Set Up

Step 1:

Place the fire work in a secure spot, but make sure the other fireworks are at least 30cm/11inch apart.

Step 2:

Place the control box and 12v transformer down next to the fire at least 50cm/19inch away. Plug the 9v & 12v transformer (you may need to use an extension lead and a plug board).

Step 3:

Wrap 2.5cm/1inch of nichrome wire around the fireworks fuse.

Step 4:

Attach the alligator clips on to each bit of nichrome wire.

Step 5:

make sure you have a Co2 fire extinguisher near by, DO NOT USE WATER

Step 5: Before You Press the Button....
