Introduction: Remove Permanent Marker

Have you ever gotten sharpie or another permanent marker on something you really didn't want it on?  Well I'm here to help!  As long as the sharpie is on a smooth surface, i.e. counter top, tile, whiteboard, etc., this will work.

Step 1: Materials

All you need is a dry erase marker and a dry erase marker eraser, a damp cloth will work instead of the eraser but make sure you ring almost all of the water out.

Step 2: Draw Over

Draw over what you want to remove with the dry erase marker.  Now use the dry eraser or damp cloth to erase it as if it was just dry erase marker on a whiteboard.  You might have to rub a little harder if the stain is very old.  You may have to do this several times as seen in the next step:)

Step 3: All Clean!

I had to repeat the previous step three times to get the marker to come off, although the stain had been there several months and the counter top it was on is textured.  I use this method all the time, if you have any questions please post a comment!  :)
