Once that is done, you will need to get rid of the excess grease.  If you did it with a tissue, get a damp cloth and start scrubbing.  (Do NOT use rubbing alcohol unless you want a warped disc)  If you did it with that disc cleaner on the other hand, just hit the start button, wait for it to finish, and repeat the directions above.

Tell people NOT to rub in circles, as this can cause interference itself if the cloth rubs at all. Instead, rub perpendicular to the tracks on the disk (i.e. in -> out or vice versa).

I used window cleaner like Windex, it does the job and no problem with warping and damaging the disc.  I have seen DVDs using alcohol in a disc cleaner make a haze on the disc.  Even after the first use.  Let's face it.  Cheap plastics are used on the discs so you'll buy more and they make money.

I personally wouldn't recommend alcohol because it can warp the disk and damage the plastic.

Rubbing alcohol will warp the disks guaranteed if used alot.

Oh, I'm on the same page as you my friend. It can warp the disk, if used a lot. The benefits of using alcohol outweigh its risks for me. And in the many years of saying SCREW IT, I have yet to damage a disk with rubbing alcohol. To protect the innocent it is a good idea to deter others from using rubbing alcohol and is a good thing to include in the instructable as you did.

Yea the only reason I brought up the subject is that I've had friends that said that they warped there disks using alcohol. But they did put alcohol on there disks every time they used them.
