So today i found a 2 liter bottle on the street. I took it home, and looked up some water rockets i could make out of it. I found none that didn't use PVC pipe, flame,or cork. SO i made this simple rocket made with REAL household materials! Reuse the fun way! You can reuse this OVER AND OVER. i've used mine about 30 times.

I don't understand step 3.
lawizeg (author) in reply to krujh2May 19, 2008. 3:20 PM
uhhh well... the BIC pen that you have, take the blue tip off of it with like pliers or sumthing. then, stick that part into the bike pump. I dont know it most bike pumps are like mine, so it might not work. Jam it in there as hard as you can(thats what she said) and stick it in the hole in the cap of the bottle, and continue to step 4...i think.

This Fill the bottle about 14 with water, and screw the cap on. might be the line in step three causing the confusion.....I assume you meant 1/4 full ?

one time i made a watter rocket. i used a section of old thick tubing that i found in the garage with a garden hose attachment at one end that was the right size to fit real snug in the neck of a 2 liter bottle. i cut it down to about 4 in. that is it. then you just screw it onto the end of the hose, stuff the bottle on the end of it, point it to the sky (grasp at the metal part not touching the bottle point away from house, and so it will hit you in the chest not the face), then have your friend turn on the watter full blast. maybe i should write up an instructable. we got some good distance on it, but the best part is getting blasted with watter.

We just collect ours up, fill them with water and stick them out at 100 Meters and shoot them with our firearms.. then we recycle them... water does not compress, hydrostatic shock is fun !

I like it!! It's nice and simple, not to mention cheap. If somebody didn't have a stack of bricks lying around they could use landscaping stones instead.
