Roasted Almond English Toffee!

Dipped in Chocolate,

Just with Roasted Almonds,

Or totally plain!

This is the Best Toffee ever!

Step 1: Ingredients:

2 sticks (1 cup) Real Butter

1 1/3 cups of Granulated Sugar

4 Tablespoons of Corn Syrup

4 Tablespoons of Water

Roasted Almonds

(spread on baking sheet...about 275* for 30 minutes or so, turning every 10)

And a silicone baking sheet...or aluminum foil lined baking sheet

You also need a thick bottomed pan.

(not a copper bottom...they burn too fast)

Step 2: Set Up Those Nuts!

You'll want to chop up those roasted almonds...

and have them ready to go before you start cooking the toffee.

have your silicone mats ready to go.

Step 3: Start Cooking!

Place the butter, sugar, water and corn syrup in your thick pan.
(a sauce pan is a bit small...but it still works!)

High heat.

It will melt. Stay with it.

It will begin to foam and bubble!

See what I mean...barely fits!

Then it will begin to thicken...

Keep close by and stir nearly constantly.

Then, almost all at the same time...
it will get quite thick, turn tan color and begin to smoke!

It's done!!! Remove from heat immediately!

Step 4: Pour!

Pour directly onto your silicone sheets!
Right on top of those yummy roasted almonds...and some plain on the other!

Step 5: Cool and Serve!

Let them cool completely, then break into pieces.
(they are better when allowed to sit a day before eating)

Dip in chocolate if desired!

Seriously, so good!

So yummy lookin, makes me think happy thoughts!

Mmm... Looks so good. I may just start to drool. I love toffee but rarely make it because I find candy making too challenging. (In other words, I'm too lazy).

    Voted, best of luck. :0)

Looks yummy and presentation is superb :)

    Super delicious :)
