This is a quick and easy way to make a deliciously melty, cheesy appetizer for guests. Paired with homemade crostini or crackers, people will gobble this up and beg for more.

Ingredients:

  • 1 6-8oz round of provolone cheese
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary

Step 1: The Hard Part

Turn oven broiler on high and adjust rack to sit about 3-4" below the top of the oven.

Put the cheese round in the skillet. That's it. That's the hard part. :)

Place the skillet in the oven under the broiler for 8-10 minutes. Start checking it at the 8 minute point. You want it fully melted but not burnt.

Step 2: Season

Remove the skillet from the oven, carefully. There may be very hot oil sloshing around the sides. Place the skillet on a trivet placed on a plate.

Season with oregano, basil, and rosemary. Surround with crostini or crackers and serve.

Enjoy!
