For those of us who can't run to the store to get all of our Christmas decorations, me and my sister thought it would be great to hang paper snowflakes around our dorm apartment. Not only do these snowflakes turn out prettier than square ones, but they're also so easy to make intricate details!

The first thing to do is to lay your circular object flat on the paper and trace out a circle with the pencil.

Step 3: Step 3: Cutting

After you've traced your circle, cut it out.

Step 4: Step 4: Folding and Drawing

Now you're going to fold your circle in half, creasing your snowflake well. Then you fold it in half again, and then fold it another time. Sketch/draw a design on the edges and on the tip; whether it be circles, hearts, stars, triangles, or even curls.

Then you fold that in half another time, making sure to pinch down the tip so the snowflake turns out right. Sketch a small design on the creased side of this fold, and cut that part out first before anything else.

Step 5: Step 5: Cutting Out Your Sketches

Carefully unfold the snowflake back to the previous fold. Cut out the design you left on this flap. NOTE: Sometimes the designs may not come off fully when you cut them. You would have to carefully pinch out the remaining scraps with your fingernails.

After you've cut out all of the designs, carefully unfold your snowflake fold by fold so you don't tear it, and YAY SNOWFLAKES.
