Rubber Band Shooter / Minifigure Launcher

This is how to make a rubber band shooter and minifig launcher with a lego mindstorms nxt kit and some extra legos.

Step 1: Building

Click on the lfx file (lego digital designer) and when it is open click f7 for buildign instructions. You can download the lego digital designer program from lego.

Step 2: Controls

The orange button makes the shooter move up and the left touch sensor makes it move down. The left arrow button makes it move to the left and the right arrow button makes it move to the right. The right touvh sensor makes it fire.

Step 3: "bent" Gear

The gear in the picture is bent back slightly and so in the lfx file it isn't on right. Put it on like it is in the picture.

Step 4: Attachment for Minifig Launcher

All you have to do is put a pin through the thing where the rubber band goes and it is a minigif launcher. You have to do the is otherwise the rubber band comes of to and the mini fig doesn't go as far. It shoots about 30 to 40 feet.

Step 5: Best Way to Launch

The best way to launch a minifig is to have its hands in the air and make it sit down. Also it works best with 2 rubber bands.

Step 6: Programming

The program is the same for both the rubber band shooter and the minifig launcher.
