"SAVE ENERGY, MONEY AND REDUCE ALLERGIES, BY CLEANING!"

With the rising cost of living many of us are finding ways to save money.  Here are a few  ways that you can save energy cost and repairs on the appliances around the home.  I have spent many years in the cleaning business.  I was surprised that people were not aware of the benefits when you keep things clean that aren't part of the normal routine.  I would clean the homes rotating the cleaning routine on a regular basis.  This allowed me to keep all areas of the home clean making my customers happy.

In the following pages you will see pictures of my appliances that are dirty.  That is why I decided to post this particular instructable.  We are in the middle of remolding and everything has been neglected so the dirt actually shows up in the pictures.  We live in a dry dusty area and I usually dust and deep clean every week to keep the dust out. This will give you an idea how fast the filters get dirty and need to be changed.  I cleaned all of the filters a month ago.  I normally clean them every week. 

Step 1: Facts To Consider

I did a lot of research in the early years of my cleaning business and spoke with repairmen about how to  reduce the repairs on appliances.  I figured if anyone knew how to keep them in good working order they would.  I always got the same answer.  Keep them clean and ( oiled if needed!)   Clean the filters on a monthly basis or according to the manufacturer's recommendations.  Dust is an enemy to the electrical parts of appliances.  Dust will cause the connections to short out and need replacing.

Sylvia, I have read that children raised in a very clean environment are more likely to develop allergies to adulthood. It sounds believable...

By the way rimar2000 My daughter has a lot of horses. I was visiting her and the front door was open and in walked her youngest cold. He acted like he owned the place. His name was Cowboy. He stayed a few minutes and out the door he went. I actually took a picture of the occasion but unfortunately I don't have a copy of the picture and I am afraid she does not either. Her PC crashed with all the pics and she did not have them backed up. If by chance I am wrong I will post a pic and share!

1) What is a cold? I suppose it is a little horse, ¿is it?
2) Although the PC is dead, hard disc content can be recovered in 99% of cases or more.

Sorry about that, it is a colt. (small horse) I do not have large print on my PC and sometimes in the light I can't see that I misspelled a word. I transpose letters all the time. Yes, it is possible she can recover her pictures but she has not taken it in yet. We had spent two solid weeks 14 hours a day copying family photos when I visited her and GONE in a flash! She did not back up the files. She has a mac, I will have to ask her if she ever recovered her pictures. Thanks for letting me know! I hope your day is off to a great start!

That he is! He is an amazing dog! We all love him very much. My son rescued him from the pound the first year he went to college and that was 11 years ago! He is old like me now LOL. The very only dog I would allow in my bed that shed LOL. I have not had to do that yet thank goodness! Thanks for commenting! Your comment made my day!

Rimar2000, It is interesting that you mention that. I have heard that also. It does sound believable. I would not know if it is true or not because I have no real examples or experiences to relate to. I believe in balance. I think keeping balance in life in all areas of living is the key to health and happiness. My family has always teased me about my cleaning habits. I am definitely out of balance in that area, but fortunately I am not a major fanatic. An example: My son was here recently with his beautiful wife and sweet dog that sheds terribly, I mean reeeealy bad. I did let Scooby stay in the house during their visit because he is such a well behaved dog but it was very difficult. If Scooby was very ill for some reason, he would be able to sleep on top of my bed, I would have no trouble with that, I would use a clean tarp and throw a sheet over it. I do not like dog hair. I would allow my daughter to bring her pony in the house at the front door BUT if there was a pony mishap she would have to clean it up. It never happened though. For the most part kids need to have fun and get dirty. They can always take a bath right? Your comment made me smile because it made me wonder if it is not so much the clean environment that could cause allergies but the products used to make it clean. Thanks for your comment and support! So funny! A few years ago my kids were coming to visit and my husband told them I was not home that I was getting things in order for their arrival and was working back from Walmart! I totally cracked up.
