SIGMA DP2 CAP MODIFICATION TUTORIAL

SIGMA DP2 CAP MODIFICATION TUTORIAL
How all this started, Using the DP2 a few times, you'll notice that the lens cap might start annoying you, (im ok, but im just as lazy as all anyone else) I go pass yodobashi camera (shop name) and look at cameras i saw the Ricoh LC-1 Self Retaining Lens Cap for GX200,GX100. and surprisingly it works with the LX-3 Lumix (saw it on my friend's flickr www.flickr.com/photos/tarapoky/3428416705/) BUT THIS IS UNFAIR! why does all the other cool camera get cool lens caps and sigma has to stick with a normal one?

its time i make some changes.

in this picture you can see the Light hood and the Ricoh LC-1 Self Retaining Lens Cap,
here is the part, the LC-1 DOES NOT FIT dp2 you need to modify it, by adding a layer of adaptation.

explained in the following picture.

I was tamed to buy the LX-3 for its crazy aperture of f2.0, and i had to choose between the Lumix lx3 and dp2, and now im glad i made the right choice.

2. Ricoh LC-1 Self Retaining Lens Cap

3.Sigma HA-21 Lens Hood Adapter
