Step 4Align the nook and strike

Align the nook and strike
Put the wrapped bottle on a firm surface. With your non dominate hand, align the tool end of the screw driver into the center of the nook. The screw driver should be pointing straight down towards the opposite side of the bottle. With your other hand holding the hammer, strike the end of the screw driver with enough force to break through the glass. You don't want to hit it so hard that the screwdriver breaks both sides of the bottle, nor do you want to hit it with insufficient force. It might take some time to work up the nerve to do this the first time. My advice: hit it with enough force that it wouldn't kill a baby, but would defiantly give it brain damage.

Instead of cracking the glass with a screwdriver, may I suggest an alternative? Put the bottle under cold water and drill into it. Much safer and quicker. Just a thought.

I'll have to get a couple babies and practice how much force to use before I try this.
