Update: 16 Juli 2009 Tomorrow a new slideshow will be released which will contain new information and pictures about both the AVAMGERR and the SPARCCS. It will also contain information about a new compact shotgun sidearm by me, and some general news about the knex community. I am planning of releasing this every month or so, so stay sharp.
Ladies, and gentleman. It has been a long time since you heard from me since the SPACSAILS has been recycled (if you have even heard from me). I've wasted my time on playing RA3, and building the spacsails, a failed ball machine, and loads of failed mg concepts. But good news for everyone who liked the shotgun and was sad that I decommissionned it: I proudly present to you the Special Purpose Assault Rifle Combined with Sniper and Shotgun, also known as S.P.A.R.C.S.S. (not to be confused with sparks) The Sparcss v0.5 was designed to be a powerful sniper able to shoot 8 w rods at a time, just like the Spacsails. It also had the looks that you liked from the SPACSAILS, because I got a quite a few positive comments on it. But bad placed bands and a poor ramrod design meant i had to totally redisign it in order to keep up with the others. The result was the Spacsails v1.5. It is this beautyful gun that has a range of a very nice 23 meters (75 feet), though it sacrifices the shotgunny effects from the Spacsails. I think it is pretty good, and not because of its range, damage, or convienence, but because of its looks. Its a big, lumbering and heavy kickass gun and that's why I like it. It also got this cool scope that mepain made. And it arguebly the most sturdiest knex gun you'll ever see. I cannot post it yet however, I am a bit struggeling with the trigger (See link: http://www.instructables.com/answers/What_is_the_best_gun_to_build_if_you_just_want_to_/). If I am ready I will post instructions. If there is someone else that wants to do it, just pm me and I'll try to get more detailled pic's. When the gun is posted, I am planning on making some extra optional stuff on it, like a bipod, a longer barrel, a fake clip ejection system, and a secondary machine gun. Do freak out if one or more of these extra's will never get posted, for they are not confirmed yet. PS: I don't even think this gun will ever have a trigger. There is too much pressure on it to have a decent trigger, and besides I have no idea how to make one. Maybe it would be better if I placed the rubber bands on another place, but for now I'll keep it as it is. Oh, and thanks a lot for your reply; I don't get a lot of feedback. Maybe I need to post another slidehow of my other, even heavier gun...
