Introduction: SPC (Sawblade Pocket Crossbow)

This is a fun instuctable that is easy to make and there are not many instuctables on it. This idea for a pocket crossbow came from Slurpey801. I just made it with a hacksaw blade. The only problem with finding a good pocket crossbow is that most instuctables are for ones that use rubberbands for the power so its not a real bow. So I'm making a instuctable for one, enjoy.

Step 1: What You Need~Tools

~Tools~
●Coping saw
●Hot glue gun
(High Temp Optional)
●Dremel Tool
●Xacto Knife
●Various Dremel Bits
●Needle Nose Pliers
●Wirecutters

Step 2: What You Need~Materials

~Materials~
●popsicle sticks
●mini dowels (can be substituted with toothpicks)
●broken hacksaw blade
●paperclip
●duck tape
●beading wire

Step 3: Sawblade

First you start by making the bow im going for a recurve, so bend it it into shape with the pliers. Then with the dremel make the place for the wire on both ends. Then cut a long length of wire then hold both end so its doubled on itself. Place the middle on one end of the saw blade and twist so its a sort of rope. When you get to the end wrap around the other end make it tight though it needs to be a bow. Now your done with the bow part.

Step 4: The Rest of It

Make mark with a pencil on a popsicle stick a little over halfway down then cut with the coping saw then lay that aside. Grab two more and make a cut big enough for the bow and fit in then take out tak the other piece fit it between the others and make the same cut. Then go 2 inches over and make 2 incisions 1 centimetre long quarter inch deep on the 2 pieces from before, then cut out with the xacto knife. Next cut one more small piece.

Step 5: The Trigger

First cutout the trigger in the shape above, then using a small drill bit go through the two other pieces and the trigger.

Step 6: Assemble

Follow the above pictures to put together. Basically you just glue it all together and put the paperclip through.

Step 7: Finishing Touches

For this part just take the rest of paperclip and straighten out. Then bend it so it is a rectangle with no end then make 2 more bends so it there is a diagonal angle then strait. Next fit on to the back of the crossbow stock and hot glue it on. Then add some duck tape as in picture.

Step 8: Bolts

Add the bow to it and your done, be safe with it and have fun.

Its all fun and games 'til someone gets their eye poked out.

Step 9: DONE!!

Add the bow to it and your done, be safe with it and have fun.

Remember its all fun and games 'til someone gets their eye poked out.

hair clips also work quite well. check out the king of random. micro cross bow

windshield wiper spring steel works too. Little bit stiffer but more power wouldn't be a problem now would it?
