SPOOKY CANDLE STAND

In many horror movies we see the main element to tell the place is haunted includes either candles lighted in the dark or old, half cut, dried bark of tree in the backyard... and indeed both the things play a important role. so why not combine them both?? wont it look fabulous?? so here are two scary elements combined to form one scariest thing.. THE SPOOKY CANDLE STAND...

Step 1: WHAT YOU NEED??

cardboard

clay

cardboard roll

bottle caps

glue

scissors

newspaper

wire

colors

cutter

Step 2: MAKING THE BASE

Cut a circle of cardboard.

at the middle of this cardboard you have to stick the cardboard roll, so in order to do that mark the radius of the roll on the cardboard and put a slit over the marked region.

then fix the roll onto the slit.

this will be the main base of our stand.

Step 3: MAKING HANDS

mark two points on the roll opposite to each other.

make two holes on the cardboard roll on the marked points

pass a wire from the holes.

this wire will form the hands of the stand or the spooky tree.

Step 4: COVERING THE HANDS

cover the wire with the strips of newspaper to make them steady.

while covering the hands make sure that you leave some portion uncover so that you will be able to fit the bottle caps.

Step 5: PREPARATION

Cut some bigger squares of the newspaper and start rolling it from the corner diagonally to make a roll.

Step 6: GIVING SHAPE

stick the paper rolls onto the base to give it a shape of tree.

Step 7: GIVING SHAPE WITH CLAY

take clay and using rolling pin make a sheet out of it.

then cover the base with clay and give a look of tree bark.

Step 8: FIXING BOTTLE CAPS

now fix the bottle cap on the wire and cover it with clay.

on the top give the look of broken bark.

Step 9: FINAL TOUCH

make two more small candle stand to place it at the side.

paint it with suitable colors to make it spooky.

Step 10: FINAL LOOK

there you go...your spooky candle stand to scare people
