SUPER Cheap Airsoft Pistol

First of all, this is not my idea, it was my friend's. Second of all, if you are stupid enough to hurt yourself or others with this gun, I am not responsible.

Can't afford a good sidearm when you're out hunting people with your teammates? Now you can! This may be one of the easiest thing you have ever created (but not really)!

Pros:
1. No loading! Just pull the trigger!
2. CHEAP!
3. Easy to make.
4. Compact.

Cons:
1. Loud.
2. Inaccurate.
3. Time comsuming reload.

Step 1: Stuff You Need

First of all, This is not some $200 project that you will regret you spent money on when you are done, THIS instructable may only cost up to $5 and takes only a few minutes.

Materials:

1. Black "Detective Special" Cap Gun. (If also has black pistol grip, you are lucky because of it's quality)
2. Screwdriver.
3. Caps.
4. 6mm plastic BBs.
5. 4-6mm thick metal rod.
6. Hot glue gun with glue.

This is regarded as a firearm, I hope you know that. And not just an airsoft gun, it's regarded as an actual one, because any device that uses explosives meant to launch a projectile is. So, you might want to watch out.

i think that no orange tip is ok bcuz the budk catolog sells them pure black everywhere and in acadamy sports and outdoors has 6mm guns w/ no orange tip

I have the exact same gun, and i did not remove the safety tip. all i did was drill an opening in the tip with a pocket knife. I suggest that for legal/safety reasons you should repost this ible but leave the orange tip on. That tip might save your life.

Good idea. I did not do that since the low quality plastic is very brittle and might break.

NIce work. My local 2 buck shop has the same brands n that. I should probably add that if you try to rapid fire there is a high probability that the little tubes in the magazine clip will melt and then collapse... but they are generally fine for 1-3 shot encounters if you let the mag cool off a bit. have fun :)

listen. if you dont like it, then stop hating on him. im a veteran airsofter, and i think this is pretty cool. Arguing about the semantics of airsoft vs. gunpowder weapons is pointless.

It shoots airsoft ammo. it is non lethal. it is fun. Why not call it an airsoft gun?

Gunpowdersoft FTW! But anyway, in Australia we're not allowed anything! You need a Class A Firearms license (with which you can get a pump action shotgun) for an airsoft gun. So this is pretty much a godsend to anyone here who can't get airsoft guns. And we can't try to smuggle them, because Australia has the most proactive customs ever! Coupled with a maximum $250,000 fine and 10 year jail term, no one really bothers. We just kind of whinge and go off to play paintball (Which you need a firearms licence for as well!). Seriously, it sucks to live in Victoria...

Don't say this instructable sucks. Come on, its exactly what the title says it is(super cheap). This is a great idea. I've tried this before but the rotating chamber thing brok so i had to make it gravity fed.

Um its not like the cops are gonna lock u up for making an airsoft gun and even if they do it will only be for like a day. And theres also this thing called 'not getting caught'. They have laws like those just to baby u and dont say I'll be sorry when i put an eye out cause a risk makes it fun. Does anyone have any ideas for putting more explosives (eg aerosol) down the chamber? and how to direct all of it forward? (and yes it is important for me)

more explosives would be dangerous. As the pistol can barely handle the cap (Breaks after 40 magazines) I would not recommend adding any extra power to it. It's very fine as it is right now.

I've fired this thing, well I've made it. I've got it to hit at 5 metres on an A4 paper.... and maximum of 15metres. I don't think it's 70FPS. It's muzzle velocity is definitely at least 250FPS. I've shot a few friends with this... and it's left a welt 1cm in diameter. It's accuracy is decent you can probably hit a human size target.

Not all country's have the orange tip rule. Look it up first before making a decision.

If you live in the US I am 98% sure it is illegal for any airsoft gun to have less than the top 1/4 inch of the barrel orange.

yes. The minimum is 1/4 inch, but many companies make it 1/2. Also keep in mind that if you hava a bunch of expensive airsoft guns, and then make this one and get caught without a tip on it, the police can legally confiscate all of your other nice expensive guns, as well as any knives, real guns, or like weapons you own. This is unlikely, but i have heard of it happening.
