To make this u'll need:
large safety pins - 70 (approx)
lots of small beads
elastic cords - 2

Firstly open up a safety pin and just thread lots of beads onto it, almost till the tip, then close it...

I remember in the fourth grade, my friend had made one of these, and one day when we were mucking around one opened and stabbed her to the point where she had blood dripping down her arm.
Let's just say she never wore it again.

Anyways, great job!
Beware of stabby-ness.

Hi, when I make these I use a pair of needle nosed pliers and squeeze the head of the pin closed so there's very little danger of it opening and hurting anyone.

Shouldn't you have those pins positioned so that if one of them accidentally opens, it doesn't stick you?

And which way would that be? Pin out will get your body, pin in will get your arm.

I'd consider crimping the bobby pin closed so it needs a tool to open again.

This is really great! Going to see if I can make some. On how not to get stuck by a pin, use heavy duty metal glue. Just a dab should be enough.
