A hand-powered sander made from scrap. We're powering down on all household items, including tools. I use a mitre block but it's never accurate enough so I wanted a sander to obtain a better mitre joint. By altering the guides you can also use it to square up any sawn edges.  This little project ironically uses hand and power tools to create a hand-powered disc sander. I used the power tools to save time, as we have a lot of work at the moment but it can be made using hand tools alone. The disc, for example does not have to be round and if you use a thicker chipboard you will not need the router..
