Step 1: Add Shape to the Workplane

This lesson walks through adding shapes to the workplane, scaling (or sizing) the shapes, and making copies of shapes.

Instructions

  1. Just drag the light brown construction to the area outlined in orange

    Hint:
To drag the shape, press and hold the left mouse button while the cursor is over the shape, then move your mouse.

You can also left click the shape to select it, then use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the shape.

  2. Continue to the next step.

Step 2: Repeat the Process

Let's try that one more time. Go ahead and add another cylinder to the workplane.

Instructions

  1. Repeat the process again by dragging another orange cylinder onto the workplane in the next area outlined in orange.

  2. You can also left click the shape to select it, then use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the shape.

  3. Continue to the next step.

Step 3: Scale Your Cylinder

Now here's the fun part! You are going to scale the orange cylinder you just dragged onto the workplane to a height of 15mm.

Instructions

  1. Click and drag the white dot on top of the shape. Drag down to make the shape 15mm.

  2. There you go, you got it!

  3. Continue to the next step.

Step 4: Copy & Paste the Last Shape

Let's add one more cylinder. This time let's copy one of the cylinders that is already on the workplane.

Instructions

  1. Click and drag the white dot on top of the shape. Drag down to make the shape 15mm.
  2. There you go, you got it!
  3. Continue to the next step.

Step 5: Scale the Last Cylinder

The last cylinder needs to be 10mm tall.

Instructions

  1. Click and drag the white dot on top of the shape to scale the shape to 10mm tall.

  2. You did it!

  3. Continue to the next step.

Step 6: Congratulations!

Congratulations! You're the winner!

You now know how to:
