and why a real blade? you can unsharpen it by a simple piece of stone or another metal, isn't using the sharpened one a little bit stupid?

I remember coming across this last year and ended up using it for Halloween. It was a blast to do and came out great. My only problem is that I would often forget I had bubblegum on me and accidentally touch it all. I was a mess by the end of the night. It can also be a tad bit time consuming, so it can look great with some planning. The one I did on my brother's neck was MUCH more dramatic (no pics unfortunately) than my random ones. I'd do it again if I didn't have to take care of a newborn this year. My little baby boy is due in October. ^_^

Oh, and I used Hubba Bubba with the cheap make-up from a halloween store. A skin tone, black, brown, and red worked fine.

First, I'd probably chew it to mold it, then flatten out the side that touches your skin. Last, I would use Spirit Gum to attach it for a while. BTW nice instructable.

Do you chew it first or manipulate it with your fingers?

By the way, I think this is really clever and cool! I'm wanting to try it, but I want to make sure I get it right and I want it to stay in place for the whole evening!
Oct 7, 2008. 8:53 PMlostinoz says:
Did you mix the makeup in with the gum first? And how'd you get it to stay in place?

Why does it have to be sugar free gum?

How do you get the gum to get that form and make flexible like that.

Nov 29, 2007. 8:26 PMWeissensteinburg says:
Are you thinking of foundation?
Nov 29, 2007. 10:07 PMpyelitegamerro76 says:
or blush
Nov 30, 2007. 12:13 PMWeissensteinburg says:
I was thinking that, but blush is a redder color, so it wouldn't blend in with your skin color.
Dec 4, 2007. 8:49 PMpyelitegamerro76 says:
well... after a gash or even a scratch your skin is a little reddish from irritation right?
Dec 4, 2007. 8:52 PMWeissensteinburg says:
but the stuff it showed him using wasn't red. I think blush would be a good thing to use on top of it all though!
Dec 4, 2007. 8:26 PMmanonfire285 says:
