School Blockers got you down?

School Blockers got you down?
Then follow these tips and you will be surfing on websites like my space, face book and instructables. I will tell you how I got past my old school's blockers, my Middle school and my brother's high school blockers. Most of these tips are using a flash drive, so if you don't have one (who doesn't?) get one, You can find one at pretty much any store. I would get a 4 or 8 gigabyte flash drive.

Step 1Https

HTTP stands for hyper text transfer protocol. which that means that when your computer sends out the request the server or blocker program reads the request and "says" that it is sending it to a passable or impassable site. Now, when you just put HTTPS (hyper text transfer protocol secure) instead if letting the server or blocker read the data it is encrypted so it is unreadable to the server. The real limiting factor is that only some sites allow access this way and that you need to put in HTTPS every time.

I personally think that schools should have jamming equipment active during school hours. If you actually need to phone someone, go to the office, they let you use it for emergencies, by law they are required. However your friend failing her drivers isn't an emergency...sorry. As well, teens need to stop being concerned with who/what is cool. All the adults reading this, how many times has your boss given you a raise because you were extra cool that week? Cool stops mattering after high school. And to be honest, it's the ones the "Cool" kids laughed at, that become your boss However you do look really cool in your McDonald's Uniform.

In my programming class, we often finish our work early, and our techer allows us to play games. They blocked .exe .bat, everything but text and image files on flash drives. We found a method for finding games though, type "games" into google and go to about the 49th page and click through the sites, usually one works.

Amen. Is school really that bad that you can't wait to update your meatspace and facecrap pages? Maybe learn something and use the interwebs when you get home. Oh and Linux Live CD's won't get you past web blockers. It will just make you LOOK 'leet'. On the other hand: The BEST way to get past web blockers is setting up your own proxy on a server at home and use that to browse. Normal anonymous proxy's (TOR for example) get blocked since they are so popular. Since a home server on a home ISP won't be popular at all, the blockers won't catch it.
Aug 13, 2009. 9:32 PMZolmeister says:
agreed, much simpler to use proxy's

Most kids don't understand much about computers, as somebody has done all the hard yards for them. All they need to do is figure out how to use IE7 (:-O, they don't even use FF!?) to find the latest flash games. I like flash games, but I think there are more fun things to do at school after I've finished my work...

I have half the mind to bring in a linux live cd and boot from that. THEN I WILL LAUGH AT THE ADMIN
Aug 12, 2009. 3:20 PMMagnelectrostatic says:
I've tried that, the blocking software is somewhere between the computers and the Internet, if that makes any sense.
Aug 12, 2009. 7:34 PMthe_mad_man says:
so do you mean like this?

computer (you)------->filter------->internet
Aug 13, 2009. 7:25 AMMagnelectrostatic says:
Yep, at least, thats how it works at my school.
Aug 12, 2009. 7:36 PMthe_mad_man says:
just get a boot cd, the bios is normally setup to boot from cds. if that doesn't work and the bios has a password access on it, there are crackers for them on the internet
Aug 12, 2009. 9:15 AMstephenniall says:
hhaha if they have websense Go to a blocked website copy the ip address tht comes up Paste it into remote desktop and acess the server ! then all you have to do is hack nearly got me excluded lol!
