Scooter Motor Electric Bike

A Razor Scooter powered electric bike. Uses Friction Drive 3x12V SLA batteries on a direct circuit.

The bike was made at no cost as it is constructed from recycled parts. The frame was sourced from a scrapyard and had been in a crash. The parcel rack was also found. The motor was sourced from a kids Razor electric scooter and attatched to a pivot that was made using scrap steel. The bivot is attached to the brake arms. Batteries are from two different scooters that were thrown out.

On three semi-charged batteries the GPS Measured the bike as running at 20.78km/hr Max

This is an UNFINISHED School Project. I may post a step by step guide when I'm done.

For Now here is the picture.

I have the same scooter but the motor is so weak that it hardly moves. How do you get it to go on the bike? I don't see how it can move a bike and a person ?

Pedalling the bike up to a reasonable speed seems to make up for its lack of torque when starting. But i had to over-volt the motor to 36-45v using three batteries instead of two. You just have to make sure the wires are up to it as the motor seems to take it pretty well.

Nice.
Looks similar to the Sinclair Zeta.
I'd love to see some more details and an 'ible.
