Your book Should be Between 1 and 2 inches with a hard cover.

how do you cut it?
any suggestions?

When I do this we cut it with an exacto knife over and over again until it goes to the deepness we want.

Do you mean one should apply glue to the outside edges of the pages? And how did you cut the pages? Exacto knife?

Yes and I cut the pages with a utility knife

Yes, and you were beaten by almost a week by lime3d, and he was beaten by craftknowitall who made one in April, who was beaten by AbyssBrandon who made one in February, who was beaten by... Heck, we've got "hidden book holes" going all the way back to 2009 and 2006. I think this one's probably been done to death, folks. Do a quick search on instructables before reposting one that someone's already done a few dozen times over.
