Another nearly impossible to notice stash relatively easy to make, and can be done with household items.

Step 1: Materials

Materials

1. Plastic food container
2. Saw or knife
3. Glue or tape
4. Dresser drawer (preferably the middle or top drawer)

Step 4: Notes

If you've done this right it should be undetectable without knowing what to look for. To get items out or to put them in, simply reach in and get them or put them in.

P.S. If you get busted, you never even heard of me.

My uncle gave me a dresser with one of these out of the factory. It was a wooden drawer in the third drawer built into the dressers frame. It was about big enough to hold 3 dvds.
pretty useless , considering that cops will pull the drawer out of the dresser when looking for your drugs .

This is a great idea. If only I had known about this when I was in high school! Good re-use of the plastic food container.

Thanks, look at it this way, if you have or will have kids (eventually), then you'll know this trick if they ever use it.
Oh yeah, good point. I do have a ten year old... but he doesn't know this trick yet.

If you could find a small lock box the was maybe like a lock drawer you could attach that to the bottom of your drawer as well and be able to lock it in case someone found it.

Kinda like this one.
HEY!   I AM TEN!  I KNOW THIS TRICK AND SINCE THE HOLE IS HUGE IT WOULD BE RELATIVELY EASY TO SEE THAT IT IS A SECRET STASH U BIG KNUCKLEHEADS! (JK ABOUT THE KNUCKLEHEAD THING. I LOVE U GUYS!)

HEY! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE 13 OR OLDER TO USE THIS SITE! HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF CAPSLOCK! TURN IT OFF! SAME FOR ITALICS! AND EXCLAMATION POINTS!

Dude, seriously, it's annoying.
Your eBay listing link is dead.

I think this will be me next little project, I could use one of those combination book safes, although if somebody finds it I might have trouble explaining why I glued a book to the underside of my dresser drawer...
The Mollusk (author)  martymunch6 years ago
That one might be a bit big, but ya, great idea
You can buy electronic-keypad safes, they would work much better ;P

So do you access it from the drawer below? If so, how do you get your hand in there (because the pictures seem to show that the drawer with the stash glued to it needs to be forward of the one below)?
The Mollusk (author)  Ian014 years ago
Ya, just glue it in about the middle of the dresser so that the bottomone doesn't knock it off and reach in the bottom one to access

hahaha nice touch u never even heard of me XD
The Mollusk (author)  onionbuskut4 years ago
Ya... I got to cover all my bases...
winniekate4 years ago
Ok. I ain't gettin it. - maybe dipped into my own stash too deep - What I don't get: Doesn't the stash box block the drawer below?
dodo915 years ago
this could be a lot easer if you use an altoids tin. all you do is glue it on! it has a lid!
The Mollusk (author)  dodo915 years ago
True, but I don't eat altoids, so I didn't have a tin laying around. I just saw the tupperware on my floor and a thought, "That would make a good instructable..."
also, if you did use altiods, you would want to make it stay shut. you can use tape.
The Mollusk (author)  dodo915 years ago
Ya, but replacing the tape everytime it builds up too much dirt/ body oil would be a pain in the butt.

Its a bit too noticeable for my taste

I think it would be better to create a removable tray so that one could hide the stash contents else where if the dresser for some reason has to be moved. It is a nice idea though.
Nevermind, Thought u were somebody else but i guess not :P This is a great idea. The person who i thought u were has that same dresser.
The Mollusk (author)  NeonLime6 years ago
Lol is the middle right dresser handle hanging by 1 screw like mine?
The Mollusk (author)  The Mollusk6 years ago
Never mind, I just realized that you can't see it in the picture on my dresser
Im not sure if it is but the person who i thought u were - His name is conor, he has a friend named Scott and scott calls himself "Mr.Sexy" all the time, you have the same dresser, my friend recently hid something in his dresser, hes into anarchy (your icon) i went onto ur profile and ur intrests - welding, herbolagy, etc are the same intrests as his, lol alot in common
The Mollusk (author)  NeonLime6 years ago
Lol, are you trying to mess with me? I don't have a friend named Scott; Scott J. Fox is his psuedonym (I probably spelled that wrong). Nice try though...
The Mollusk (author)  The Mollusk6 years ago
P.S. My name is spelled Connor (not like it's a big deal though...)
Browncoat6 years ago
Interesting idea, but if you pull out the drawer too far that has that attached... problems.
The Mollusk (author)  Browncoat6 years ago
True but you could add stops to the bottom of the dresser to prevent from ruining your stash
Wired_24_76 years ago
the problem is, if your stash makes any noise, you're screwed. maybe add some padding and/or sound insulation to make it more robust.
The Mollusk (author)  Wired_24_76 years ago
What do you mean? Like things rolling around in there? I've never had that problem, then again, I don't need to stash round things, so...
sillyokid6 years ago
this is good for hiding your... ummm, comic books (if ya know what i mean)
The Mollusk (author)  sillyokid6 years ago
Lol, you could do that, keep in mind that it can be found, but if someone finds your "comic books" at least they'll know how clever you are.
